There's lots for you to do at Walther Ranch. Enjoy fishing, hiking, photography, wildlife viewing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing...

... or just relax and take in the beauty of this 900 acre wildlife refuge. With so much elbow room, you can really get away and enjoy some peace and solitude.

Life on the ranch moves to the tranquil rhythm of nature and the seasons. Spring, summer, fall or winter - it's a great experience whenever you visit!

Hiking through the mountain meadows or fishing for rainbow trout in our private ponds, your time and thoughts are your own.

The San Juan Mountains - often compared to the Swiss Alps - offer some of the most scenic views in Colorado. Photographers will relish the opportunities that present themselves at every turn.

If you like, spend a few days participating in the peaceful routine of traditional ranch chores. You're welcome to bring your own horses and ride the ranch. Bring your own horses! Guests of Walther Ranch are welcome to board their own horses at the ranch for just $50 per horse per night.

Then, when winter comes, the world is so clean and fresh, the air snaps with every breath you take. Spend the day skiing the more than 15 km of private, groomed cross-country trails.
